    The junction box looks good, hopefully that voltage regulator is OK.  Make sure that harness was not “pinched” where it passes into the junction box.

    Seems unlikely that you will find “type C” lube, OMC changed the name to “premium blend” many years ago.  The old type C lube was brown in color, the premium blend is tan and can probably be found at any former/current OMC/BRP dealers…With alot of dust on it…  Make sure you get a decent pump cannister for the lube, trying to squeeze it with tubes probably won’t work out well…

    Read the red book and see if you have any questions about removing that gearcase.  Again, you must be very careful not to break the electrical harness that will come down with the gearcase…Hopefully the gear lube is OK.

    Whatever that aftermarket oil is does not “replace” the OMC premium blend, it is just the aftermarket equivalent.  Like I say,  most long time OMC/BRP dealers will probably have some premium blend on the shelf with plenty of dust on et.
