Just picked up a Johnson seahorse ser# 361339 mod# AT 10. I would like any info on this motor that is available. Size, starting procedure, what spark plugs, timing settings, manuals. Thank you Troy..

Your motor is a 5 HP precursor to the Johnson TD and TN models. Much of the info you will want will be the same as those later model Johnsons. Compression should be about 70-75 PSI for each cylinder for good idle performance. For starting you will definitely need good primer performance, and for the primer to perform properly you will need new leather primer seals and instructions on how to replace them.

More good info at: pochefamily.org/outboard. Have fun!

You can also find great info at Art Dekalb’s site: precisionservoutboard.com He has a “5 point plan” that hits all the important items to check/fix.
