      Antifreeze doesn’t boil in the crock pot and doesn’t need to stay in long. A few hours or overnight is good. Trick is to cycle from hot to cold repeatedly as Chris-p noted. And tap on the pistons through the spark plug holes with a wood dowel or aluminum rod. I don’t like the grease gun method. Awful mess to clean up even if it works and the pressure can cause damage as noted above. Heat, vibration and lubrication are the best ways to free up stuck parts.

        Thanks! I’m going to give the crock pot method a try once I get it apart. There is snow on the ground today!

          evaporust solution or old school you can also soak them in molasses and water i think un-sulfured is supposed to work best both will dissolve the rust and should free it up

          according to one article 1 part molasses to 9 parts water for two weeks
