      Standard (not racing) 1949 Evinrude Speedtwin. Can I use 90 wgt oil or do I need a heaver grease like luberplate 105

        Service manual simply says on older models (pre-1950) use gear grease

          Try John Deere cornhead grease. Better than 105. IMHO

            The driveshaft seal under the water pump is really pitiful . . . 🙄
