      I’m a total ‘Newbie’ with old outboards. I need service manuals for a 1953 rd14 25 hp Johnson
      And also for a 1957 qd18 Johnson. I have had zero success online tracking them down. Any suggestions

          OMC didn’t print service manuals for individual motors back then, just parts and owners manuals. You’ll want to open the red 1922-1964 Johnson Service Manual in Kerry’s post to find detailed information on those two motors but I can give you the parts manuals for them.

          I can’t find the QD-18 one but the ’56 QD-17 will be basically the same, except for the hood cosmetics and possibly the prop shaft seal?
