      US Member - 2 Years

      I have a 1963 Mercury 110 with the starter in the cover. I finally got it back together and want to check for leaks and adjust the carb while it is running. I was wondering what is the preferred method of starting this motor with the cover off?

        I pop the cover off while it is running.

          I wrap a rope around the flywheel and start it that way. It is pretty easy to start this way.
