I have a 70’s Mercury 20hp (blue band) I have been thinking of converting it over to electric start..

What’s the best way to go about this?     Find another engine or buy the parts to convert this engine ?

Goto Marine Engine . com and search a year or 2 before and after your specific model to see if the parts needed were used for more than one year… That will broaden your search as much as possible..OR just buy a 20hp Johnson that is already electric start..and sell your non-electric start..

I don’t know how messaging works. That aside, I have everything you will need or you may buy the complete motor in decent shape. I don’t want these parts and I’m not trying to get rich. The catch, you must come and get them. I am on the Gulf coast, north central, near Mobile.    Maybe this will suit you.
