re 60s/70s/80s mercury belt replacement
I know many remove the flywheel from the central hub which I believe is not the correct way to change the belt. So what is the correct way to change the belt with the stator in place?
It seems what ever I try the belt is being contorted more than what I would like to see, and I do not want to damage the belt.
Looking in the manuals both Mercury and aftermarket, they all seem pretty silent on how to do this.
