Mercury KB-1A gas tank leaks

Any autoparts store or tractor supply will have Permatex MOTOSEAL.

I got mine at AutoZone for $13.99

Permatex MotoSeal Ultimate Grey RTV Gasket Maker 2.7 oz (autozone.com)

I also used a grey colored Felpro gasket between tank halves and sealed one side at a time using many addtional C clamps.

Never had occasion to seal a fuel tank before, but I’ve used the Permatex Motoseal to seal the crankcase halves on a couple motors with no problems.
