Does anyone know who makes an impeller for a Merc KD4?
Oldmercs.com use to list them but no longer. I believe the part number is 47-24447.
      Thanks,

Those I hear are no longer being made. Checking on the Wizard site a member there mentions using an OMC #382221 and altering the hub to fit. An aomci member by the name Brian Wilcox makes those and needs your core to make a new one. Hope this helps as I haven’t done this myself.

I think it was Ferguson Poole Marine that I got mine from? I placed a wanted ad on the site and got a few quick responses.

Thanks guys. I will look up Brian, and give Ferguson Poole a call.
Hopefully between the two, I should be able to come up with something.

Thanks Chris P, Ferguson Poole just got back to me, and has the reproduction of the vane type, but said I should check because some of the earlier ones has an oscillator pump instead.

Yes, that motor came with either, it is simple enough to use either one, just change housings I believe..I think I have a spare vane housing, if you need it I can look.

Thanks Richard, I will let you know if I need when I dig into the lower unit.

I made a impeller for a Wizard WD4 which is about the same motor. Get a OMC 382221 cost about $15, Its the same size as the WD4. It has a plastic hub and you to cut two notches to fit the brass impeller adaptor.

Mercury man, how did you cut the notches? Square file?
