Checked 5 Bendix twin cylinder flywheels for Kiekhaefer Mercurys
3 had two openings 2 had one opening
All had an opening about 90 degrees ahead of the keyway
as flywheel in direction flywheel normally turns.
I believe that indicates which opening to use when setting point gap
If there is only one opening that is the one to use
If there are two openings use the one that is at same position relative to keyway
Or at least that is how it seems to me
