Currently setting up a KF7 for a “daily driver” motor for my 1953 Blue Streak Runabout.
B-Stock class, designed for a normal leg KF/KG or Quickie lower.
I have a Quicksilver KG7, but would like to keep the wear as minimal as I can on that motor until I can afford to repair the L/U if needed, as I am newly in college.
Currently, I am building up a nice KF7, but I have found the KG7 steering bar does not look right on the KF7.
The KF has a front mounted bar while the KG has a rear mount. Is there a way to use the KG bar on the KF?
Or should I be looking for a different style steering bar.
Any help would be great, thanks!
It is mounted right behind the tiller mount, and on the KG it is mounted behind the water jacket and cylinder head.

February 21, 2026 at 3:26 pm #304918The front mount bar is smaller in that it only has a slight bend. The holes to attach the steering cable have to be inline with the swivel pin to wok properly.

Yes, I have been informed of that. I am looking for one now. If I cannot find one, I am going to make one most likely.
