      I changed the water pump on my Mk 15 A and the gear case had oil in it. Isn’t Lubaplate 105 or 00 grease the correct lube?

          I have taken many of them apart. (I own four Mark15As, alone. 30 automatics, at last count.) I’d have to say that whatever grease was originally in them wasn’t much like 105. Definitely more like 00, maybe even a little thinner. I get 00 all the time for my snow blower gear boxes. It looks like it would be perfect for any hemorrhaging Merc gear case, to me….For me, it’s a moot subject because I reseal and pressure test mine until they will hold Mercury HP gear oil.
