I found a YouTube video where a guy had seen a post on AOMCI about using a Honda water pump impeller for a mid 1950;s Scptt or Firestone 5 to 10 HP motors. Can anyone assist with some further info on this part number for the Honda Impeller? It was a much less expensive option than new old stock Scott impellers on the market.

According to my notes, I ended up using Honda impellers in the two 7.5 hp bail-a-matics
I worked on. I blanked the bailer pump, and just used one impeller in each motor.
I tried other impellers as well that some people said worked, but not for me.
        The part number I show was…….. 19210-ZW9-013

Some people epoxied a Honda liner into the Scott pump housing, but I was not
able to find where anyone sold “just” the liner, so I added brass sheet
on the walls of the original liner to reduce it’s diameter, so the Honda impeller would pump
        nicely.

        My notes……
Installed a .035 brass liner inside of the
current water pump liner to use the Honda impeller,
and made a new brass cover plate on pump.
Pump cavity ID was originally 1.685, depth .600
Pump cavity ID with brass insert is 1.632,
        .053 smaller than original.
        Honda impeller specs – OD 1.785 x .585

Thank you Buccaneer for the great reply! How did you blank out the BOM impeller so you are only down to one impeller?

Also, any good sources for the water pump oring and seals?

I blanked off the bailer pump by fitting an aluminum
“hockey puck” like piece in the cavity (not a photo of my motor)
              like in the photo.

Regarding the O-rings, I measured the size I needed, and found some
very close on EBay……. can’t remember how they worked out,
              and I can’t find a part / size number.

Bucc… another nice creative fix. I think that that warrants a tech article for the Antique Outboarder
