      I have several Johnson “OD” models, I am not sure what HP they are can anyone advise. I have two OD 14’s an OD 12, & and an OD 10. Thanks Don

        Hello Don and welcome!   QD 10/11  are ’49/1950.   QD12 is 1951.  QD 14 is a 1953.  QD 14 is the first year for the twist grip.   Great 10hp motors.

          Are you sure they are OD models and not QD motors?

            Thanks for your reply, they clearly say OD on the plates. I thought they must mean QD, that is why I am confused. I could post the serial numbers if that helped. Also, I am in Canada, (Ontario) could that mean anything.  Don

              If they have a gearshift on the front of the powerhead, they are QD.

                If they are CD motors, they wouild be 5.5 horse.

                  Thanks for your replies. Yes the shift is in front, so I have looked again at the serials and maybe it could be a Q. But still looks like an “O”, to me.  So, they must be 10HP, which is what I thought.
