Hello, Looking for some help in identifying this new find. I have been to the Jack Craib website and it has some similarities of a Caille, but not a perfect match.

The only numbers on the motor are SR 1714. There is no top to indicate a model or manufacturer.

any help on where to look for my mystery machine would be greatly appreciated

      motor-4

      motor-2

The auxiliary air valves would indicate a Model 30 Racer.

Where are the auxiliary air valves, on the carb?
            Purpose?
            Thanks.

            Prepare to be boarded!

They are mounted on the cylinder intake ports near the carb.
Nice size Caille. Just needs the nonstock paint job removed.

if its ID’d as an SR, it may be the Motorgo version of the Caille model 30. I’ve seen at least three of those motors identified with the SR prefix and they were all decaled as Motorgo’s

                Hope this helps.

It is indeed a Motogo Senior. Motogo sold them in 1929 and it is exactly the same as the 1928 Caille Model 30 Racer except for the decal and rope sheave.
