            The photo of a cast aluminum gas tank and a powerhead is pretty murky
            but, it looks like they are Kiekhaefer (Mercury or Wizard brand) either
            prewar or immediate post war.
            Really sharp clear photos require a plain background, lots of extra lighting and a camera tripod. Helps if motors are clean, but, that is too
            much to expect of long stored motors.
            Early Kiekhaefer singles and twins are often incomplete, so there are
            lots of parts motors around lacking gas, caps, handle grips, cowl, spark
            plug coves and stuck powerheads. I like the little mercs.

            (edit) I will go along with you on gas tank (my screen is low resolution)
            The powerhead seems to have the Kiekhaefer water jacket. I always
            hope to find a Little Merc, so maybe wishful thinking affects vision.

              The gas tank isn’t Merc, it’s Champion and likely came from the motor in the first pic.

              Two and Three are Waterwirches, and Four looks like a Neptune.
