          I don’t think that’s a ‘48, looks like the 1954 color scheme.

The model number is 571. 58772, built by Westbend, the book lists it as a 1954. Unless the book is wrong?

I have a list that says it’s a 54/55 model number. Leroy says so too:

Perhaps someone mixed match parts? Is the dark dark green an original color for this two tone motor?, I do have two other Elgins one is a very light green and the other is a dark green or maybe a medium green.

Jim Moffat is the “Special Interest Group” leader for Elgin.

Your right, it’s a ‘54, but your heading asked about a color for a 1948. That’s what the confusion.
