With some careful persuasion, I was able to get the flywheel off and inspect the timer.  Obviously, someone has been in here recently–it looks pretty good to me!

I suppose the next step is to find a battery and see if it’ll spark.

 

Does anyone have any recommendations for a battery?

This is what I use. This brand. I got some of the cheap black ones and they were junk in a couple years.

A "Boathouse Repair" is one thats done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.
