Anyone have any information, or source, for the serial number plate rivets common to OMC motors in the 1950’s to mid-1980’s? They are not shown in any of my 1980’s parts books. I’m not sure, but I think they are about .091″ diameter, .125″ long, and maybe take a drill size of about .151″??? (That would be a #2 size.) They look like a “pin-drive” style to me. Thanks. Mike
I think it uses 301992. They are drive screws. I believe I confirmed it once but cannot find my proof today. These are the same as used on some tiller handle indicator bands and on the remote control name badge.
You might try Moss Motors in California — I purchased from them several years years ago and they were very helpful in identifying the rivets I needed (for the VIN plate).
