I’m reassembling my ’57 Lightwin and looking for recommendations on what type of thread sealant to use on the fuel tank petcock.

but sure they’re something better for the application. Maybe I’ll learn

February 23, 2026 at 1:05 pm #304987I also thought about Permatex Aviation sealer. I had to replace an in-line fuel filter on my ETEC 150 last year and used Rectorseal No. 5 on those fittings and it seems to work fine. Just wanted to get some ideas on what other folks were using.
