pressure & vacum testing

I decided to experiment for a few $$$ ($20& free shipping) ) ………. ordered a car AC hose and I will add the gearcase adapter to pressure test

the dial is good for pressure and vacum tests using a pressurized air source or vacum testing using a vacum source like a small pump to purge brake lines

I’ll test all this when the stuff arrives by mail in january

update…. I cancelled the above as I found a dual purpose pressure/vacum hand pump seen on a utube * and decided to gift myself 🙂

Looks like overkill to me….And, you must be very careful about using devices connected to a compressed air source that could easily over pressurize the gearcase overwhelming/destroying otherwise good seals/gaskets/orings.

I use a bicycle pump for pressure and a brake bleeder kit for vacuum testing….very nice, those small bicycle pumps from Walmart work very well

I actually cancelled that AC charge hose and ordered a manual purge pump which does pressure and vacum test for 49$ CDN no shipping but….my post when POOF…..????
