      Hi All,
I am going thru the lower unit gear box on a 1950 Corsair 7.5 HP shift model , there are three thrust washers that are used in the unit for reverse, forward and pinion gear, they are different thicknesses and have a lubrication slot and one or two dogs or ears on them that lock into the gear case,I need the thrust washer for the reverse gear, it is worn egg shaped and the ears are worn down. I have had no luck finding it. I can find thrust washers from Mc Master -Carr that are the real close to the correct size bore and thickness just a little smaller in diameter although there is no ears or oil slots in them ,has anyone used a replacement thrust washer that does not have the ears or oil slots cut into them with any success. If I had a Bridge Port mill I would make some, my plan would be to cut the oil lubrication slots into the new thrust washer and give it a try.
      The part number is #493-3158
      Thanks, RJ
