Sea King Midget update…..condenser?

I have the new plug wire soldered in place, and coil tests out fine with my Merc-O-Tronic 98.

Wondering about the condenser, and whether a new one is in order? I’m not quite up to speed on testing condensers with the Merc-O-Tronic yet, as the tester is relatively “new” to me.

I’m not sure what the uf specs should be for this One Horsepower cutie, My M-O-T manual shows some uf values for some condenser #’s but the condenser unit itself is not identified.

Would these condensers be wildly different than standard capacitors used in later OMC engines?

Your 300153 condenser is spec’d at .15-.20 A 580321 (later models) is .18-.22 Virtually the same thing, different mounting.
