I know it varies from make & model of each outboard on torque specs for cyl heads ; In my case a TN 27 5 hp Johnson. Does someone have that number handy ? Is it measured in ft lbs and yes there are torque specs in ( inch lbs)

Also when honing the cyls what should one be using for a lubricant while honing

When completely rebuilding a power head what is a good assembly lube ? Thx Much !!

Here’s a chart that covers the bolt torque values. Your TN cylinder heads would be 5 to 7 ft-lbs. or 60 to 84 in-lbs. Use an in-lb torque wrench for the best result.

I use 2-stroke oil when honing cylinders and Lubriplate 105 assembly lube during assembly of the connecting rods. Cylinders should be well coated with 2-stroke oil when installing the pistons.
