This will be the first winter for my Stevens tester.
I only heat the garage during the day. I’ve have
seen down to -5 deg F. in the garage at winter’s
      worst.
Do you guys in similar situations bring your Stevens
      tester inside for the winter?

I’m afraid all the hot / cold cycling in the garage
might be hard on the Stevens.

      Thoughts?

If it were me, I’d keep it inside until ready for use. I keep mine in my office at work, away from the work area. They are a great piece of equipment, worth taking care of. You could call Stevens Instruments and see what they think. Nice people to talk to.

Jerry, I think I will bring it in for the winter.
That will be better for it unless I slip on the
ice taking it to the garage when needed! 😮

Sounds like a good plan. The last time I spoke with Stevens, they told me they have a list of people wanting to purchase the ST75 machine. If you were to send one in for repairs, and then decided not to fix it, or have it returned to you, they rebuild it and then sell it to someone else. Back a few years ago, when i sent mine in, they had a dozen or so people waiting in line to purchase. On mine,
they even replaced the alligator clips with new old stock, soldered on as original! That along with a new meter face, (old one was hazy)it looks like new.
