Currently in the process of restoring a very nice 1927 Ruddertwin.

I have taken the ignition coil off, but need to rebuild it. I have ordered a universal military coil, among other parts for it. Just looking for some good recommendations for plug wires, timer and battery cables.

      THanks!

I use 2 lead battery and timer wire, I forget what gage, the same for both and for the plug wire I use 9mm braided plug wire. I can post samples and better specs when I get home.

As for rebuilding those coils. I failed 3 times to get the end caps off without destroying them.. That is why I designed my coil housing tubes.

Also I choose to NOT mess with that tar crap… just easier to build a new coil and run it…For me anywho…

I have inserts for the dual output military coil and I am working on inserts for the Honda 12v motorcycle coils as well.

          Richard,

I have the ability to remove the tar and get the old coil out, just have to work at the caps on the end.

Also wondering on a good recommendation where I can find a timer dogbone for this motor, please let me know. I’m not sure if they were shared between model years.
