Has anyone heard from FrankR?
September 30, 2022 at 10:00 am #266950Here I am. Just now got the internet back working. No electric power during the ‘cane nor all day yesterday but it came on at 3 AM this morning.
I haven’t ventured out and around town yet, but as for me, lots of tree stuff to clean up, but no major damage. We are well, thanks to God. But I hear the Charlotte Harbor area got a real whack and flooding.

September 30, 2022 at 1:34 pm #266966God was on your side for sure. Great to hear you are OK and great you got power restored that quickly. Last hurricane we had I was in the dark for almost 3 weeks.

Talk about glad you don’t work in the OUTBOARD shop anymore…..Where I currently work, I did about a 12 year stint in the inboard department. So when when I see all those big, BIG boats, sitting high and dry on their props, struts, rudders and shafts, I KNOW the running gear is all out of whack and will have to be all taken apart and re-done. That is heavy, HEAVY, time-consuming grunt work. I absolutely PITY the poor souls down there, that will have to deal with even THAT, never mind the obvious interior, electrical and cosmetic work. There are going to be a lot of totaled boats, I would think.
Long live American manufacturing!
