Hi Brad, just what do you want to know? Those 30 horse Johnsons will push your boat pretty good. You will need a good size boat. I run my tens in tandem, and it sure is fun! I know nothing about counter rotating propellers. I stacked two control boxes together and that works. I use a cable system for steering. That does take some engineering. I don’t know how handy you are and how much time you want to spend setting it up. It is a good off season project for sure. I have lots of pictures, if you are a member PM me and I will send some to you.

May 10, 2026 at 11:00 pm #318291Update: I was going to marry two shipmasters together, but I just scored a dual unit ship master on eBay.
aldo scored the tech sheets showing the in between link. Looked simple, appears to be a 1/4” rod with eyes loops bent at each end and a turn buckle for adjustment. Then connect it to the regular steering brackets on each motor.
now I just need to finish cleaning, painting and reassembling the motors that will be wearing the already restored cowls. Might just load a couple of my working RJE-18 motors that are working but not in cosmetic restoration yet so I can get everything fitted up and able to demonstrate the set up at one of our wet meets.
i am excited to get this finished!
thanks for all the help!
May 10, 2026 at 11:06 pm #318292Thanks Mike Sims your tech sheets you posted also show the center rod that ties both motors together for steering.
