I’m fairly new here, less then two years and having been to only three AOMCI meetings. The latest meet having spent a full week camping at Tomahawk WI.

I’ve seen some great photos posted in the private sections. (links, as for some reason we don’t host our own photos)

Photos of the Tomahawk meet would likely draw in new members if posted here on the public forum.

      It was a great meet!

Wow, that’s quite an impressive meet to be one of your first! I hope your expectations are met by the local, smaller meets!
Yes, am just teasing you! Congratulations on joining and welcome aboard!

            Thanks Pappy!

It was nice meeting you at the Lake Alfred meet in Feb of this year. Love that Model R you’ve got.

I plan on making the Southern International Meet in Lake Shipp Park, Winter Haven, FL. October 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th. I don’t see it listed in the on-line 2015 Events page. Not sure how a non member would hear of this meeting.

I’m looking for a place to pitch a 10 x 10 tent for the duration but don’t think there is camping there at the meet.

I’m looking for nearby camping areas if anyone has any ideas. Even in someone’s back yard would be nice. I’m completely self sufficient in my camping often staying on islands I find while boating and sleeping in a camping hammock. Never had to deal with gators though!

            Always looking for fellow campers.

            Thanks,

            Dan

(Please pardon my playing around with this post fooling around with posting photos.)

Here’s a link to my fantastic camping hammock:
