I’m looking for a good lower unit housing or complete lower unit for a mid-sixties Merc 500. Part number 1626-2470.
I’m considering bringing some parts from a 1961 Merc 400 short shaft #1308295. I’ve got pretty much the entire thing in parts, carbs (cleaned), starter (tested), powerhead (ATF/Acetone in cylinders), magneto (tested), mid section, guts from the lower unit.
Also could bring a 1966 Merc 500 powerhead , 1973 50hp no lower unit parts motor, cable steering unit from a Larson boat (looks like all the parts are there), a couple early Mercontrols for parts, a housing from a 1962 Merc 500, a locked up long shaft white lower unit.
Anyone need these items? I’m driving a car if I go, so won’t carry things unless someone needs them.
