      Hi Tubs,

I SO enjoy your posts here;  thanks so much for sharing all the knowledge and experience.

What is up with Imgur and your photos?  do they want money?  Is there some other issue that is causing them to break the links to your pictures?

The same thing happened with Photobucket a few years back.  They offered an “Always Free” deal for image hosting until they decided one day to want to start charging.  No grandfathering in of old images…..All the Photobucket links on forums like this one all over the world all of a sudden had thousands of broken Photobucket image links instead of the pictures that were placed in their “care”…..

I’m just curious as to what Imgur is doing and what sort of communication they may have had with you. I guess it’s a hopeless issue….even if we could get the images….with the hundreds and hundreds of images you have posted here over the years ….it would be an unsurmountable task (I suppose) to match them up with your posts.

As far as unloading pictures, they have changed direct link that I used for emails. The BBCode link, that the board accepts, still shows just what I upload without advertisement. I post a lot of pictures. After a while I just have so many pages I need to delete some. Then the link is no good and you get the no longer available message. The quality of the pictures and as well as the size have improved when uploading directly onto the board, and I have been doing more of that for a while, but I make a lot of mistakes. When I misread what someone is asking, and post something that doesn’t apply, or is misleading, I want to be able to remove it. Misinformation isn’t helpful, and at best, is confusing.  I can remove the type, but I can’t remove the incorrect image, nor can I delete the thread altogether. So by posting a link I can remove everything and just leave a period. It frustrates me when I can’t remove an image that doesn’t apply so sometimes I end up going back to posting links for a while.

A "Boathouse Repair" is one thats done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.

          Tubs,

Yes;  the inability to delete images from a post is something that is currently being discussed with Eric….as is the lack of PM’s and various other issues.

As a moderator I can delete images.  If you have any that you would like deleted feel free to let me know.
