Check the July 2014 issue of The Antique Outboarder. Adam Gibb did an article on those controls.
February 28, 2016 at 5:16 pm #32626In short, they were used on the first 25hp alternate firing twin motors of the 1950’s.

If you can track down the motor side of the system, you will be in business. The rods can be made to suit the length required.February 28, 2016 at 9:10 pm #32635I hope I can find the motor side also because I actually have a 1951 bigtwin and a 1954 electric start Johnson, thank you and I would appreciate any more information on them that I can get 🙂

Randy, Appologies if these photos can’t be opened. If not I will send to you by PM. Haven,t read the article but removed these controls from my 52 or 53 Johnson 25 a few years ago and sent them to Opposed Twin who may still have them. Always wondered what the rotary actuator looked like at the driver’s end.February 29, 2016 at 12:05 am #32655And a third part of the equation is the rotary flex cables that connect the rotary rods to the adapters on the engine. And..the adapters that connect the rotary flex cables to the aft end of the rods.
