New to the Club… New to Boating… (NOT new to life at 74)
I bought on old Rinker I/O with a dead engine and missing drive. I “plan” to try to put an outboard on it. New ones are EXPENSIVE, so started looking online. I found a “good looking” Sears McCulloch that the owner has never tried to start. Assuming, (yes I know about assuming!) it is complete, not stuck, and has decent compression, what is a reasonable price? I know there is “tinkering” to be done, but that is my “claim to fame”. I figure an old motor on an old boat for an old man is the perfect combination!

          OOOPS…. I guess that is important info!… (I said I was old!)… It’s a 45 short shaft. Pictures look good – I have not gone to look at it yet . . . 50 miles away.
