I would like to point out it’s not a Quincy dump exhaust, it’s a homemade to look like a Quincy dump exhaust.

The power head is a KH7 or wizard equivalent. There is no fuel pump or vacuum pump boss so it was a gravity feed carb motor. Once the pump was put on another carb was put on at the same time.

I know the early 60s merc 200 power heads fit (white motors) and some of the phantom black motors fit but there is a relief at the front that needs to be filled with a plate or RTV.

If you use a 200 PH it will not have much spline engagement. maybe 3/8in.

I pulled off the prop and noticed some prop shaft side-to-side play. Seems like the bearing behind the prop maybe shot. Is this common? How do these gearcases come apart so i can check out what the condition of the internals?

A little information is a dangerous thing!
