      The problem is gas pouring out of the carb. Tearing the carb apart I noticed NO valve seat at all so I bought an oem kit that has one.

      The rebuild instructions/diagram doesn’t show a valve seat and installing the seat causes a major float height problem.

      Float does not have a leak and is at proper height. Float spring is installed properly. Simply blowing air through the carb and manually working the float works fine.

      What am I missing?

        There may be a “power valve”i think its called under the plate that is screwed or rivited to the top of the body. That may be stuck or sticky. These carbs are a pain to get clean and wish i had a ultrasonic cleaner for these types and the others i do.
