      I’m about to change a water pump on a 1963 9.8 Mercury Are there any surprises i will encounter ? never done one before

        just unbolt the LU slide the pump housng up the drive shaft …..replace impeller (use a bit of liquid soap) install the spline O ring if it has one grease the splines….. not the top end line up shaft and water tube close it up 🙂
