I disassembled a 1939-ish Waterwitch Mae West Single and can’t remember how the kill wire is hooked up. It appears to have a contact mounted to the front of the crankcase below the magneto and something must bump that on the slow end of the throw for the plate. Then a wire goes up to the points to short the mag. But what hits the kill contact?
It’s more of a preservation than restoration as I have lost interest in striving for perfection. It 80 years old and should look at it…and I intend to run it. So it has scuffs and dings. But I do blow the tanks out to get rid of the big dents and the one tail cone was bent flat and bent I toward the motor. It is not correct and proportional.
