Wayne Schoepke has passed

I’m sorry to report the passing of Northwoods Chapter founder and friend, Wayne Schoepke. My sister, Karen Dalle Ave just called with the sad news. I simply know that he passed today.

A nice guy indeed, and sadly a loss of knowledge.

Wayne was a dear friend of mine and I’ll always remember his kindness toward me.
It was a privilege to have known him.

Wayne was one of the first guys I meet at my first nationals at the Bridge Inn back in about 1986. He and Les Stephenson kind of took me under there wings and welcomed me to the meet and to the club. He was a fountain of knowledge for old outboards. I remember also visiting his display old old iron in Sayner Wisconsin back in the day. I had the good fortune to talk to him for a bit at this years Tomahawk meet & was glad I did. Rest In Peace my friend.
