      Frank, did the said motor have Western Auto decals? It would be
      interesting to see an actual motor. Thanks for the information!

        I would have to assume it did.  But I don’t even know for sure if I ever saw one.  I was four years old in 1941.  My first wheels were a Western Flyer bicycle though.

          I believe there was still a Western Auto store 30 miles away, back in the 70’s.
          Not sure I remember much about it, but remember that there was still
          a bunch of neat “mom and pop” stores still going then.
          My first “full size” bike was in 1963, a red Murray, with the tear drop
          style affair that looked like a skinny gas tank, but had two “D” flashlight
          batteries inside, and a headlight on front.

            I had a 26 inch Western Flyer bicycle from Western Auto. It had chrome fenders and a tank with a horn built in. The tank was black and gold. Loved that bike. Only one speed. Just pump!!!
