      I recently picked up a rebuilt Johnson A25 Motor at a swap meet. It appears to have been completely rebuilt, including a nice paint job. When trying to figure out what year it was, I looked at the flange on the head where the serial numbers are usually stamped. Instead of any numbers I found the letters LWS stamped on the flange. Does anyone know what, or who, LWS stands for?

        Nothing stamped on the rope sheave?

          It came sans rope sheave
