what is the color??

hello i am searching for paint color for my neptune aa1a to look original….look like silver for the frame but the tank? dark cherry or bronze?

What you have is a pretty well preserved original. I’m not creative enough to give the colors an accurate name. I’d venture to say that a auto paint supplier could do a close color match if you take them a sample.

Nice looking little motor. I did a small Neptune a couple years ago that had the heart shaped tank. I purchased some decals from Doug Penn when I did mine. He also gave me the paint color for the tank. Rustoleum burgandy # 7768 is what he recommended.

For the silver, I use Rustoleum Matte Silver. Perfect for this and Mercury lowers as well.
