Sad. A first year Foldlite is a motor that deserves better.

I don’t even have one, but it didn’t take long to get a giggle.

That must be the newer improved model with the upgraded tank and carb!

    Prepare to be boarded!

That’s the saddest looking Folding Sportwin I’ve ever seen. Carb, tank, thumb pads, flywheel, mag plate, and the water lines are hooked up wrong.

I have the ELTO version. I appreciate that it has the ELTO poppet carb and not the zinc Tillotson.

It appears to have the “invisible” timing advance lever also.

Nice paint job, tho. The carb looks like the one hanging of my muncie (OB2 i think).

Mine has the poppet carb — although I don’t like the p-ssing when starting the motor, there’s a whole lot less to go wrong.

There’s a guy not too far from me in VT — buys old motors in any shape, not to collect, restore and run them, but to “put lipstick on a pig”; sand blast and paint them and sell them to a bar/tavern or for a man-cave. I imagine he has to do a lot of “field engineering” like my Franken-A.
