I picked this up and it is missing the electric start. I have spark and good compression. Does anyone have a parts diagram so I can see what all is missing. Probably just make it a manual start for now when I figure out how to hold the flywheel on.
I think you can use a length of pipe or strong tubing, and a thick washer(s) to hold the flywheel on. Item #2, "armature screw" does the work. Just make sure you have square ends.
My only question would be, is it safe? Typically the nut is torqued directly to the flywheel. This looks to me to be possibly not the right fix. Just my question. And two cents.
It needs a tight nut to hold the flywheel on. If the threads are bad and cant be re-threaded its possible to file them off and go to a next size smaller thread. Not easy but it could be done.
