      How much slop should there be in the Tiller mechanism of an Evinrude Model A RBM. I’m not convinced my “new” motor is contacting properly.

        Mine was sloppy too until I set the skeg on the floor and loosened some screws on the driveshaft/lower tiller bracket assembly. Tubs can explain it better.
