Would a layer or two of shrink tubing work?

        Prepare to be boarded!

Get measurements and search eBay – Granger
          – McMaster Carr – exct. Should be able to find
something with the correct outside dia. that you
          can drill out and/or shorten.

Maybe the plastic supply lines from faucets in you home!  Plastic air lines that are used on truck air brake systems?  Maybe the nylon handle on a spatula, you could drill a hole in it then grind down the outside.  Put your thinking cap on and think out of the box, you might stumble on something that will work!

Dont’ over think this,,, it’s a non-technical part, only keeps the side of the screw from contacting the metal bore. If you still have the other half of the broken sleeve, put it back in the bore. … even a few wraps of tape will do the job.

                    Posted @ 6:16 this morning.

I ordered a pack of 10 from Grainger with the correct ID & OD x .25L. for $2.00

                    I’ll cut to length.

                    Thanks Tubs

The internet is definitely our friend when looking
for something to substitute a part no longer available.
Except for having to order them everything fell
right into place for you this time – if you actually get
them. I have an ever growing pile of stuff that
wasn’t what I ordered. Having the suppler local
is a big plus when there is an issue.

Nylon bushing from Grainger (3YAE7) worked well.  OD & ID are a good fit, I only had to trim to length (.150″).

Verify that your cut length does not protrude above the surface of point housing as to restrict contact of the 2 exterior plates when assembled. I probably should have took pictures but I think this will be apparent when assembling.

Should anyone need a few of these nylon bushings PM me and I’ll mail them to you.
