I’m working on a 1952 5hp Sea King and am wondering if anyone has found a close match for the paint color. The paint looks similar to early Johnson – sort of a silver-green. Now that I look at the bottom of the gas tank, it looks more of a silver-blue. NyMarine doesn’t list anything. Thanks for the help.

The one I used to have was blue. They made a whole swarm of those things. Sorry, I don’t have any color specifics.

The closest color I found when I painted my Sea King was Evinrude Light Blue 1960-61 found on nymarine.com

Hey kayaker2: I’m looking at reprotint color swatches online and "light metallic blue" looks very close. Are you sure the 5hp was "satin silver grey"?
