      the carb bowl will surely fill up for $15 why not just try one on shop around

        Trains, I’ve been fiddling with an Evinrude 85 hp V4, and found that the same fuel pump was apparently used for motors from 6 to 235 hp. (Above around 100 hp they used dual pumps.) Point being there is apparently a lot of excess capacity in these pumps. You can get a clone on Amazon for around $20 and on ebay for less. The Briggs style pumps apparently work too, if you don’t care that the setup doesn’t look original. I got one from China for around $5.00 shipping included, but haven’t tried it yet.

          For the price, I’m going to give it a shot. I’m not concerned with being OEM. The boat has about 100 dings and still got a lot of looks with faded paint and torn seats. As long as it’s safe and runs good.
