Find a local marine shop to rehub your prop or get a name of an individual that rehubs props. Cheaper.

                Depends on load….
                Want speed???
Buy a KG7, it will blow that 18 out of the water….

OR find a speed prop, what works for speed on one boat will not necessarily work for you..

                Regards

Install a Tiny Tach. Only way to know what pitch will give more speed.

Good suggestions above, but must know what boat you are running it on. Length, weight, load, etc. I run my OMC 18’s on an Alumacraft Model R. Much testing found the AJC417 2 blade brass prop is the best. Will beat a KG7 all day long. If you want a KG7 I have an excellent one with extra props I will sell.

I did all the needed work on my KG7 (new coils, water pump, etc) and it ran great but it won’t keep up with my OMC 18’s with the high speed prop on my Model R. BTW I have good friend here locally who is selling his choice Model R complete with foredeck, mid deck, complete correct steering, trailer and Mercury. I would buy it myself if I didn’t already have 2 of them. He has an ad on Facebook if any body wants a good one.
