Does anyone have a part number for the fuel pump diaphragm on a 1959 Sea King 5hp. Motor has sat for 40 years and I assume the diaphrams will need to be replaced. I have no problem finding the other ignition and lu seal kits.

Parts have not been made for that pump for like 40 years. Replace the whole pump.

FrankR. Do you have a part # for the pump?

This is all I could find, many mechanics had so many problems rebuilding the pumps that they just replaced the entire pump . . . 🙄

A couple of popular pumps are the Sierra Marine 18-7350 and/or 18-7351. Either will work if they fit in the space. You look and decide.

18-7350 costs less but is very complicated inside
18-7351 costs a bit more but is very simple inside–and I prefer the simplicity. Opinions vary.
Both are repairable at this time. But remember "complicated"

The 18-7351 is more or less the same size as your original. But the hoses (actually the smaller "hose") comes out the bottom. So make sure it won’t interfere with getting the cowling back on. The inlet (large) hose can be rotated to any position. Hey, you were going to replace the hoses anyway, weren’t you?

AND—now there are Chinese el-cheapos showing up on e-bay. I know nothing about them.
